Welcome to the official Ntsiki Mazwai website. Thank you for blessing me. Get the latest news, info and Gigs about yours truly, the Queen of the Streets. My Journey started in 2002 when I launched my beadwork range House of Mobu at the age of 22. I have since branched into poetry and music, earning my place in the South African entertainment industry. My poems MADE me. I use my words to heal and push human rights agendas. In 2008, I posed naked among other South African Celebrities and personalities, to speak out against Rape and Women Abuse.

Stemming from the underground music scene I was hauled into the mainstream by my song, 'Urongo!' It was on DJ Fresh's Definition of house vol3. It went on to become the biggest selling song in the country in 2005. Although I am a household name in the house genre, I am and have always been a Hip Hop and Soul Head. In 2006 I released my debut album, MaMiya Independently in a joint venture between Mobu Records and Huge Entertainment.
The same album was later rerelease by Gallo in 2007 and nominated for a South African Music Award for Best Urban Pop Album. My 'Women Rights Activities' started in 2003/4 when I was part of, all female poetry collective Feela Sistah.
Alongside Lebo Mashile, Napo Masheane and Myesha Jenkins, we created a platform for the Woman's voice to be heard. Reviving the dying art of poetry, we catalyzed a movement in the spoken word scene. We have since then, divided the work load, and are conquering through our solo careers.

I also produce shows, in 2008 I coproduced, Ntsiki Speaks, a one woman poetry play. It received much critical acclaim. I am currently working on Azanian Love Song, a collaboration with soul singer, MaxHoba inspired by the work of literary giant, Dr Don Mattera.

In my spare time I mentor young women who are interested and SERIOUS about a career in the arts.

All grown up and with a story to tell, welcome to my world....
